    MCST-First Practice Resources

    Hammerheads,

    We are excited for our first practice this evening.  Passing along some insights to assist our swimmers and families:

    Our first two weeks we'll practice Mon-Thurs 5:30-9:00 and Saturday from 7:00-11:00, before we settle into our summer routine.  Please identify your age group timeframes as outlined below.

    • 5:30pm: 8 & Under Practice
    • 6:15pm: 9-10 Practice 
    • 7pm: 11-12 Practice
    • 8pm:13 & Up Practice

    Prepare your Swim Bag:

    • Suit
    • Goggles
    • Cap
    • 2X Towels:  The water is cold right now so having a dry extra towel is great.
    • Hydration:  Water, Gatorade, etc.
    • Eat Before Practice: Be sure to Fuel Up

    Other Notes:

    • SwimTopia:  We sent out a test message to ensure it's working for you.  Please check your notifications settings if you didn't receive it.
    • Checks:  Please bring checks to your swimmer's first practice versus mailing them.  Coach Luke will be collecting them.
    • Patience:  The first couple of practices have a little chaos to them as families, swimmers, and coaches find their flow.  They will smooth out in a couple of days.
    • HAVE FUN!  Summer swim is about having fun.  Enjoy this time with family and make new friends.
