Welcome to the home of the Mt. Carmel Hammerheads Swim Team!
The team practices and competes during the summer and we will begin our 16th season of Hammerhead swimming in 2024! MCST is made up of wonderful families in the Mt. Carmel by the River neighborhood and the surrounding communities. MCST offers a convenient opportunity to experience the fun, fitness, and excitement of competitive age-group swimming close to home! Males and females ages 5-17 years old who can swim one length of the pool without assistance are eligible to join the team. This is a volunteer intense sport, so parental volunteering is required at two meets.
MCST is part of the Rocket City Swim League (RCSL) located in Huntsville, Alabama. Each swim season begins with practice beginning in mid-May and consists of 5 regular season meets (on Wednesday nights in June) and a league-wide City Meet concluding the season July 12-14.
